Forging the Friendships our Future Depends on.
What we do
Mindful Movements is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization that provides free to low-cost outdoor adventures including day hiking, overnight camping, rock climbing, kayaking, paddle boarding and much more. Outdoor adventures promote mental wellness and foster authentic friendships our future depends on. Through mindful group experiences in nature, participants discover that we are more alike than different.
Why We Do It
After the COVID-19 pandemic, we noticed society quickly becoming more disconnected. From school classes being moved online to neighbors isolating themselves, we noticed a severe decrease in meaningful human connections and mental wellness. As three best friends and outdoor enthusiasts, we wanted to share the moments and mindfulness that outdoor experiences have provided us to others. Mindful Movements believes that our future depends on fostering authentic, meaningful friendships across cultures and other differences. Through the power of outdoor experiences, we aim to enhance mindfulness, build lifelong connections among participants, and cultivate a passion for outdoor adventure. Our Mission is only possible if we mindfully move together.
